My experience.

I support people in working through such challenges as depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, and trauma, as well as in navigating the ongoing process of gaining deeper self-understanding and greater receptivity to life. My clients are people of varied backgrounds and include those who identify as gender diverse and racially or sexually marginalized. I keep in mind the impact of social and cultural contexts on individual experience and take an intersectional approach to understanding the uniqueness and complexity of your concerns.

I received BAs in English and French literature from Southwestern University and a masters degree in clinical mental health counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University, completing my internship with Full Circle Community Wellness. I have studied at the Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis and currently receive training through the Asheville School of Psychoanalytic Thought and the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas.

Both a passion for learning and a commitment to self-exploration have led me to pursue additional instruction in trauma, the neurobiology of addiction and attachment, and the practices of yoga and insight meditation. I receive supervision from Lara Doerrer, LCMHCS, and am licensed in the state of North Carolina.
